Remove the filter from the tank. Rinse and soak in clean water. Low-pressure flushing is recommended. The cleaning time should not exceed 8 minutes. The water temperature for cleaning should not exceed 60 degrees. Weak acid and weak alkaline washing supplies can be used for cleaning such as vinegar.
The evaporation mat absorbs a large amount of water, which will reduce the stiffness of the filter. After drying it, the stiffness will resume. After drying the filter there will still be some residual water in the tank. Remove the filter and allow it to air dry.
