Often we are asked about what an "Ion" or a "UV light" are doing in an air purifier.
The Ion button is short for Ionizer. The UV light emitted is another part of our purification process. The PureZone Elite 4-in-1 air purifier has both of these options. We also offer a smaller, 3-in-1 air purifier without the 4th step listed below:
4-stage purification process:
Stage 1: Active Carbon Pre-filter
Stage 2: TRUE HEPA Filter
Stage 3: UV Lamp + Photocatalyst Filter
Stage 4: Ionizer
The purpose of these additional stages (Listed as Stage 3 and Stage 4 in the above list) is to provide maximum air cleanliness in your home and office. UV lights "zap" airborne pathogens while the ionizer helps further "clean" the air.
