Are Bentgo products BPA free?

Our product does not specifically have the BPA-free symbol, as we use the recycle symbol Plastic #5 and Polypropylene (PP) instead. This label is equivalent to the BPA-free label.

Plastic #5 and Polypropylene (PP) indicate that the container is a thermoplastic polymer. This is one of the safest plastics to use. Polypropylene containers do not leach harmful chemicals into foods or liquids. They are commonly used to contain yogurt, medicine, drinks, ketchup, and baby bottles. Plastic #5 is flexible, hard, and semi-transparent and has high resistance to solvents.

The FDA has noted that Plastic #7, not Plastic #5, indicates BPA may be present in the material.
